Slide Ranch Alumni Live What They Learned Using knowledge gained through their Slide Ranch internships, former Teachers-in-Residence Corey Block and Deepa Iyer have founded a sustainable community and education center in Oakland called SOL. SOL, which stands for Sustaining Ourselves Locally, is a community where members have transformed a live/work space and neglected urban lot to a sustainable home, organic garden and center for workshops on gardening, food politics, cooking and nutrition. |
