I just wanted to take a moment to finally say on behalf of our whole team here, thank you to you and Rat and all the other fantastic educators at Slide Ranch that generously shared their time and evenings with us. It was a beautiful trip, and a really, really special way to start our inaugural year of Middle School together. I personally was brought back to the reasons I fell in love with this profession in the first place, and am very glad to have had a chance to join the trip. You all are doing amazing things at Slide Ranch, and I hope this was the launch of more years of partnership between our programs.

The instructors were absolutely incredible. They were patient, kind, thoughtful, and knew their stuff! It was wonderful to see how they were able to adapt the content for our younger group. The content was easily linked to what we have been learning in the classroom this year. They were absolutely a joy to be with for the day. They each were so engaged and interested in the children. They asked them questions and kept them so active. I loved creating something from the garden - and the art idea was so fun!

I do want to thank all of the teachers for showing our students, families, and teachers grace and patience. The students were truly engaged in the activities that were offered and it was very apparent of the love and knowledge of the land that the teachers had.

The programming was fun and diverse, and had a good mix of education with time to have fun and be silly. It was also helpful to break apart the group into smaller groups of 8-10 students so that programming was more interactive. The kids REALLY liked the tide pools, and cooking in the garden. They enjoyed getting to try the different plants and flavors of the garden.

I appreciate how great both Rat and Queen Bee were at navigating the space between curiosity and discomfort. For some youth seeing or experiencing all the wonderful things Slide has to offer, could be exciting and scary all at once. It was lovely to see how your expert staff created a safe and inclusive space for all of the youth there.
